A relatively quick still life painting done about a week ago, I tried to find any excuse to push concepts of warm and cool while keeping an overall sense of the original color. Still life painting can be such a good exercise and I can eat the fruit afterward.

ReplyDeleteQuestions about your book: "Value Sketching With Markers". Is it still available? If it is, what is the cost, size, number of pages and is there a preview available.
Also I like your work. Did you study with Sergei Bongart, some of your work reminds me of his work? If you didn't study with him maybe someone that you studied with studied with Sergei. I think William Reese studied some with him.

I absolutely love this still life. I made it into my desktop background although it does not do it justice. I love the colors..it gives me some ideas of how to redo my living room. Can hardly wait til the weather warms up. Thanks so much, cousin!
